Position Summary: The Project Lead is responsible for managing small to medium-sized projects and supporting larger ones, ensuring adherence to project management standards. Reporting to the Senior Landfill Engineer, the role involves overseeing waste-related geomatics projects, construction management, task planning, and contract administration.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Independently manage small to medium projects and assist with larger projects.
Lead project teams, ensuring timelines, scope, and budgets are met.
Research project issues and provide recommendations.
Facilitate project initiation, close-out, and post-implementation reviews.
Support Solid Waste Operations with project activities and issue tracking.
Organize and validate project expenditures for leadership review.
Coordinate project meetings and manage external resource onboarding/offboarding.
Oversee contract administration for landfill equipment.
Key Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or a 2-year diploma in Geomatics/Civil Engineering Technologies.
PMP certification or equivalent training is an asset.
Minimum 3 years' experience in construction or geomatics projects.
Strong understanding of project management best practices.
Proficient with Carlson Command, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and geospatial software.
Ability to interpret survey data for landfill projects.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
