The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture enables a globally competitive, thriving and sustainable agriculture and food sector by supporting farmers, ranchers and agri-businessess through a supportive legislative framework, policies, programs and services.
The Agriculture Research Branch (ARB) of the Ministry offers programs that provide funding for research and demonstration of new technologies and practices that contribute towards a more profitable and resilient agricultural sector.
The ARB is seeking a highly organized science enthusiast to help deliver Saskatchewans largest suite of public research programming.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge of biological science, research methodologies and data analysis.
- Ability to concisely explain complex topics to coworkers and external clients.
- Ability to respond accurately, clearly and courteously to inquiries.
- Ability to work independently and as a contributing member of a team.
- Ability to organize and manage large volumes of program records to effectively coordinate project reporting and evaluations.
- Computer literacy (knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook).
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained through a Bachelors degree in agriculture, biological science, or related fields.
Eligibility for membership in the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists is required.
