The Home Health Aide (HHA) is responsible for participating in the delivery of a high standard of home care services in the community. The focus is to provide personal care, home maintenance and respite assistance to elders and others who require care and resources in their homes, under the supervision of the Home & Community Care (HCC) Coordinator. Data entry for reporting is a requirement under the supervision of the HCC Coordinator. The HHA would also observe, record and report any unusual signs/symptoms and incidents to HCC Coordinator.
REQUIREMENTS
Continuing Care Aide and/or equal certification from a recognized post-secondary institution
Minimum of three to five years working as a Continuing Care Aide/Home Health Aide
First Aid/CPR
Good rapport with people, able to work independently and in a team setting
Good understanding of First Nation history, culture and traditions is an asset
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYEMENT
Canadian Police Information Systems Check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Check (upon hire)
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License (upon hire)
Continuing Care Aide and/or equal certification from a recognized post-secondary institution required
