Description

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Recreation Aide to join our team dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for senior residents. As Recreation Aide, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging recreational programs and activities specially tailored to meet the unique needs and interests of seniors.

Job Location: All Dove House locations: 2220 Cameron St. and 4008 Montague St. Regina SK

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a variety of recreational activities and programs for seniors.
-Plan and organize outings, events, and group activities both on-site and off-site.
-Encourage residents with various activities including games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, and hobbies.
-Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during recreational activities.
-Maintain accurate records and documentation related to programs and participants.
-Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate and support resident management initiatives.
-Communicate effectively with residents and their families.


Requirements:
-High School Diploma or equivalent (additional education in recreation, gerontology, or related field is a plus).
-Experience working with seniors in a recreational or care giving capacity.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability to develop and implement creative and engaging activities.
-Knowledge of age-appropriate recreational programs for seniors.
-Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
-First Aid and CPR Certification (Preferred).
-Must be able to provide a criminal record check
