QUALIFICATIONS
Early Childhood Education Certificate Level I;
First Aid/CPR Level ?C? certification;
Minimum 2 years? experience in working with children who have diverse needs;
Able to physically lift children and move furniture; and set up outdoor equipment
Training in Play and Exploration- Minimum of Phase I and II.
RESPONSIBILITES
Interact with the parents and children;
Assist with both long and short-range programming in accordance with program philosophy, provincial ?Play and Exploration? Program Guidebook, and developmentally appropriate First Nations childrearing practices;
Support children?s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development, through a play-based programming approach;
Dress children and change diapers, support toilet training in cooperation with parents;
Organize, sanitize and store toys and play equipment to ensure order in activity areas, and play invitations;
Be reliable and have good work ethics;
Excellent interpersonal communication skills; and
Work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills;
Experience and knowledge gained from having lived in an STC First Nation or on reserve;
Play and Exploration training in Infants and Toddler Programming, Responding to Children?s Interests, or other play based professional development workshops
Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver?s license (class 5);
Meet MFN's insurance requirements;
Obtain a clear and Current Criminal Records Check (CPIC) and a Vulnerable Sector Check
ECE documentation must also be provided at the time of interview.
