The WDM Corporate Office in Saskatoon is looking for a Curatorial Assistant - Intern to assist the WDM in achieving its public trust responsibilities through the care and stewardship of the WDM artifact collections. The intern will assist in a project to move a collection of artifacts and upgrade their storage conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in carrying out the temporary movement of a collection of approximately 3,600 artifacts.
Conduct artifact inventories and maintain accurate artifact location records.
Carry out artifact rehousing and implement basic preventative conservation methods.
Assist with reorganization, modification and updates to artifact storage pallet racks.
Assist with other Curatorial Department tasks.
The internship starts on May 12, 2025 and ends on March 27, 2026. The work schedule is 72 hours per 2 week pay period. This position includes paid sick leave, participation in the Public Employees Pension Plan (with employer contribution matching) and health and dental benefits as per the WDM Benefits Package.
This position is funded through the Canadian Heritage Young Canada Works at Building Careers in Heritage (YCW-BCH) program. To be considered for this internship, you must meet all YCW-BCH eligibility requirements and have a current YCW account.
