Description

As Accounting Technician, you will be an integral member of a reputable Law firm in Saskatoon.  Your accounting and financial analysis skills will be supported by your ability to adapt to varying workloads and work as a team to achieve exceptional results.

As the successful applicant, you will:
- Process accounts payable information, following established accounting procedures.  Obtain approvals, verify accuracy, data entry of information, prepare payments and process cheques.  
- Work closely with the finance team and collaborate with lawyers and employees as required to ensure accurate financial information and reporting.
- Process accounts receivable and resolve billing issues promptly.    Monitor overdue accounts and conduct collection follow-up to ensure timely payment.  
- Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.  Identify and resolve any errors or discrepancies.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures and other accounting tasks as needed.  

Requirements:
- A Diploma/Degree in Accounting is preferred.  
- Minimum 5 years of related accounting experience.  Experience in a law firm is desirable but not required
- Proficient in Adobe and Word, Excel and Outlook.  Experience with legal software is an asset.  
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective and respectful working relationships.  
- Demonstrates the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and workloads.    
- Strong organizational skills and the utmost attention to detail.  - - Works cooperatively in a team environment.

Hours of work:  Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00 pm   (40 hrs/week)
