Description

YWCA Saskatoon is seeking an outgoing Summer Camp Assistant to be part of our Fitness department. This role is tasked in helping create the childrens summer camp curriculum as well as leading and facilitating summer camp activities while prioritizing their safety. Our Summer
Camp Assistant will work closely with our in-house Physiotherapist and other Fitness departments staff. Top candidates possess stellar communication skills, a growth mindset, and leadership skills.
Our mission here at YWCA Saskatoon is to empower women and their families to independence, wellness and equity and our Summer Camp Assistant will be instrumental in achieving this.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with our Physiotherapist in creating age-appropriate activities for our
Summer Adventures program
Ensure campers learn in a safe, fun and stimulating environment
Assist in day-to-day operations of the summer camp program
Maintain open communication with parents/guardians
Adhere to all camp policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Be 16 years of age or older (For 15-year-old applicants who are able to work, a Young
Worker Readiness Course Certificate of Completion is required)
CPR-C and First Aid certification
Successful completion of a criminal record check
Successfully completed a minimum of Grade 10 education
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable speaking in front of large groups and interacting with young children
Previous experience working with children in a camp or recreational setting is preferred
