*** PIAPOT FIRST NATION 35 KM NORTH FROM REGINA HIGH-WAY 6 ***

Job Summary:  
Under the direct supervision of the Prevention Supervisor, this position is responsible for Prevention In-home Support worker with the department of Piapot Nation Family Services. This position will assist in the well-being of the children, and families of the Piapot First Nation within the administrative policies and procedures established and directed by Executive Director.  

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

    Provide direct support within family homes, navigating high-risk situations with empathy and professionalism
    Respond swiftly to emergent needs identified by families, community partners, and the Ministry of social services.
    In collaboration with caseworker, assist in family safety plan goals
    Collaborate with parents and caregivers creating routine, chore, meal lists etc. to support stability and wholesomeness within the home
    Ability to think outside the box, and problem solve effectively
    Mentor parents and caregivers on healthy parenting and coping skills
    Transport families for in-home support, and basic needs when needed
    Effectively communicate with families and be responsive to client needs for PNFS
    Support and assist temporary emergency home initiatives
    Maintain good communication, and rapport with families
    Maintain client confidentiality
    Maintain documentation, records, and systems that are essential components of good project management that demonstrates services are being delivered
    Any other duties as directed
