Description

GFS Projects is a Design-Build General Contractor based in Saskatchewan  focused on the Agricultural industry in Western Canada. We design, build and project manage turn-key construction projects for commercial farming operations and Ag Inputs retailers across the prairie provinces.

We are looking to add an experienced engineering CAD technologist to join our team to contribute to the overall success of our projects. An ideal candidate would have well-rounded experience in the construction & industrial sectors, demonstrate proficiency in ACAD/Autodesk Inventor to create various types of drawing sets, be highly motivated, efficient and work well within a team atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
    Prepare engineering drawings for presentation, review and construction
    Participate and Lead in conceptual design stages for developing new projects
    Prepare scope of work and/or RFQ documentation for project proposals
    Design/Technical development for steel fabrication components
    Manage project documentation including field modifications and as-built revisions
    Occasional travel to project sites for inspections, measurement verifications and walk-throughs

Qualifications:
    Diploma in Design & Manufacturing Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent
    Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor 3D modeling software
    2-4 years of experience in industrial design, manufacturing and construction environments
    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word
    Valid Class 5 Drivers License and the willingness to travel to nearby sites as required

    Strong leadership qualifications
    Organizational skills along with the ability to meet deadlines
    Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Team player
