Description

As part of our newcomer settlement outreach program, UCC Saskatchewan provides translation and interpretation services. The part-time Translation & Interpretation Services Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of these services. This part-time (up to 22.5 hrs/week) term position is based in Saskatoon.
Responsibilities include:
Coordination of necessary interpretation services to support UCC Saskatchewans settlement supports work for newcomer displaced Ukrainians,
Building UCC Saskatchewan capacity to provide quality and professional translation and interpretation services for Ukrainian and other newcomers and their families,
On-going administration of a province-wide pool of qualified translators and interpreters,
Identifying and sourcing relevant T&I resources, including sector-specific materials,
Maintaining Best Practices Standards for UCC Saskatchewan T&I policies and standards of practice,
Preparing/Submitting activity reports that include both statistical and narrative information on: service achievements against objectives, emerging issues concerns regarding service delivery and proposed solutions, and, recommendations on service improvements/development.
On-going monitoring of program expenses in relation to the services budget in collaboration with the Executive Director,
Developing relevant print and online service promotional materials,
Exploring partnerships with other relevant settlement and other agencies/stakeholders.
