In this role, you will:
- Solve complex technical problems using formal techniques to evaluate systems, equipment and failures.
- Maximize equipment availability, reliability, and performance through effective problem solving and proactive maintenance practices.
- Develop and refine asset-specific strategies to improve equipment health and to prevent or eliminate equipment failure.
- Work closely with maintenance personnel in the field to support daily maintenance activities and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Provide technical support for new or modified site equipment, process changes, and drawings.
- Be required to compile data and prepare technical reports or coordinate technical reporting as required for regulatory submission.
- Support site capital and expense projects ensuring project deliverables are met in the form of scope, schedule and budget.
Required:
- Bachelors degree in engineering
Two to six years of relevant industry experience
- Eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
- Exposure to predictive maintenance techniques and technologies
- Experience in a mining/milling environment
- Computerized maintenance management system familiarity, preference for SAP experience
- Experience with planning and scheduling activities
- Project Management Professional (PMP Certification)
