Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The SECURITY GUARD will be responsible for providing the safety and protection of the Kahkewistahaw First Nations Governance Centre and grounds, as well as staff, community members and visitors utilizing the Governance Centre. The security guard will be first contact for the Kahkewistahaw First Nation, they will assist individuals in the development, co-ordination, and implementation of the Governance Centre. The security guard must have knowledge of the Nations values, culture, and traditions. The Security Guard will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations and perform all other duties as assigned by the Chief and Council of Kahkewistahaw First Nation.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
1. A valid Security Guard License is highly preferred, or the willingness and ability to obtain one, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
2. Possess a minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent with at least one (1) year experience in the Security Industry.
3. Minimum of 18 years, reflecting legal requirements for employment in the Security Industry.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders such as our teams, clients and fostering positive interaction.
5. The ability to remain calm and composed in high pressure situations, demonstrating resilience and sound judgment in challenging circumstances.
6. Possess the ability to maintain the management of confidential information and must be prepared to sign an Oath of Confidentiality.
