Description

The Rural Municipality of McKillop No. 220 is accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Maintenance Operator.

This position will commence on a mutually agreed-upon date for the successful applicant and may lead to full-time employment.  Applicants are required to have a valid drivers license and provide a drivers abstract.

Key Responsibilities:
    Operating various pieces of equipment
    Equipment Maintenance/maintenance
    Rock Picking
    Installing Culverts
    Mowing Ditches
    Erecting Signs
    Hamlet Maintenance
    Other duties as assigned by the Public Works Manager
    Perform general maintenance of municipal roads, parks, and facilities.
    Repair and maintain infrastructure such as road signage, drainage systems, and culverts.
    Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of public spaces, including garbage collection and landscaping.
    Ensure all work complies with safety standards and municipal regulations.
    Assist with other public works-related duties as assigned by the Manager of Public Works and/or Foreperson.

Preference will be given to applicants that possess the following:
    Class 1A Drivers License.
    Prior experience in public works and outside maintenance.
    Ability to operate equipment such as skid steer, tractors, and mowers, etc.
    Some knowledge of servicing and maintaining various pieces of equipment.
    Mechanical background.
    Capability of working with minimal to no supervision.
    Safety conscious can take direction and pays attention to detail.
