Description

Chronicle Custom Woodworks is a small custom woodworking shop in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, specializing in staircases, handrails, stair components, wood doors, and bespoke woodworking. We are seeking an experienced woodworker with a positive, professional approach to join our team in a full-time, permanent role as Production Manager.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Production Manager supervises daily production while participating in fabrication. This includes railing components and custom projects such as staircases, doors, furniture, and butcher blocks. Key responsibilities include setting production schedules, tracking labour and materials, managing inventory, reducing waste, developing workflow procedures, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The role also involves evaluating equipment needs, scheduling maintenance, maintaining shop cleanliness, and promoting a safe, productive work environment.

You will lead and support the production team, train staff, and manage performance and productivity. The ideal candidate has strong woodworking experience, leadership skills, and proficiency in digital tools such as spreadsheets and tracking software. Flexibility, problem-solving, and a collaborative attitude are essential.

We offer competitive wages, profit sharing, benefits, and regular working hours in a supportive environment. Salary is based on experience and performance, within an established range.
