Description

As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible to administer a variety of human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, labour relations, compliance, and performance management. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will assist in driving the implementation of HR policies and practices, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and help maintain & foster a positive and supportive work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administer & support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding
Assist in the development, implementation & enforcement of HR policies
Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries
Providing employees guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions & workplace investigations
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records
Assist in benefits administration, enrollment or changes
Support diversity, equity, & inclusion initiatives
Monitor HR metrics & prepare reports on key HR functions
Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local employment laws & regulations.
Assist with HR projects & initiatives as needed
Evaluate & continually improve HR processes, policies, procedures, controls and systems.
Provide support & assistance with labour relations files, including investigations, employee discipline and grievance processes
Represent and/or assist with representation of the employer on the OHS Committee

QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma or bachelors degree in human resources or a related field
2-5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a generalist capacity
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
Experience with ADP is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel & PowerPoint
CPHR designation is considered an asset
Experience working in the Public Safety Sector an asset
