We are seeking a Resource Coordinator under the Canada Summer Jobs program. Due to the grant received for this role, eligible candidates must be 15 to 30 years of age at the time of hiring. This is a temporary role for a 12 week project.
This role will develop an internal library of existing resources and documents to be accessed by INSK staff who support people with intellectual disabilities. Resources will include public policies and regulations, program information and client forms for relevant service providers, helpful guides or handbooks, etc. The Resource Coordinator will create a centralized system so that staff across the province can access and update all documents remotely.
Duties:
- Explores options for centralized organization system, including consulting with staff, testing platforms, and providing options through succinct reports
- Develops organization system with input from team members
- Consulting with staff and researching public policy, organizations, programs, and services for people with intellectual disabilities to create a list of existing resources and documents
- Compiles relevant resources and documents into organizational system
- Supports staff in learning how to utilize and update organizational system
Requirements:
- Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
- Understanding of issues impacting people with intellectual disabilities
- Some knowledge of programs, services, and community resources
- Knowledge of how to effectively organize resources and documents through an online tool or shared hard drive
