Opportunity for a General Contractor to coordinate building rejuvenation and site supervision at Cumberland House Housing Authority (8 units).

On behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, Living Skies Housing Authority is seeking a General Contractor with proven experience in general or residential construction or mechanical systems to manage the rejuvenation of eight family housing units at Cumberland House.

The General Contractor is responsible to source local sub-contractors and workers and oversee the project for interior & exterior renovations including new entrance stairs & landing, siding repair, exterior & interior doors, windows, drywall patch & repair, painting, flooring, kitchen cabinetry, HVAC and electrical.  

As the project lead there is a requirement to be on site 3- 4 days/week;  no cost accommodation is available at the local Housing Authority.  Project materials will be procured and delivered to the site.    Use of own vehicle is required for transportation to and from Cumberland House.  

Experience in pricing, estimating, and procurement is required along with knowledge of general insurance policies and various provincial acts (WCB, OH&S).   Knowledge of provincial, social and affordable housing and housing network processes is an asset.
