Description

Spend your summer bringing Broadway to life! Youll help launch our brand-new app, support fun community events, and create engaging content that showcases the vibrant spirit of the district. If youre creative, organized, and excited to work in a lively, artistic neighbourhoodthis is the summer job for you!

Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will assist in the implementation of marketing and communication projects and events related to the Broadway area while contributing to the overall development of this vibrant business and entertainment district.

Term:
- 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Thursday (30 hours/week)
- 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM (1/2 hour unpaid lunch break)
- June 9th to August 29th  

Responsibilities:
- Creating and/or sourcing the written copy, photos, audio, video and other needed elements for Broadway's new app, launching this summer.
- Assist the staff team with delivery of all BBID events happening in the Broadway District.
- Assist the staff team with writing and designing communications materials including, but not limited to social media posts, emails, sponsorship packages, posters, website updates and other marketing content and materials as required.
- General administrative duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Be knowledgeable (or willing to learn) about the Broadway area.
- Able to provide exceptional service with a pro-active, positive, can-do attitude.
- Strong communication skills (written, visual and verbal).
- Experience using Google, Canva, and WordPress is an asset.
- Enrolment in a certified business or marketing program is an asset.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and under 30, as this is a Canada Summer Jobs funded position.
