Shelwin House, a 24-hour shelter for women and children fleeing Interpersonal Violence, seeks friendly, energetic, organized and self-directed individuals to work shifts. Shifts can be Day, Evening or Night shifts. Shifts can be a call-in to fill regular staffed shifts scheduled by Full and Part-time staff. Shifts can be scheduled ahead of time or on short notice to cover shifts. Casual staff may be called in to be extra-staff when busy. Casual hours vary from week to week; there can be no hours one week or several shifts in the next week that are available. Casual employees can become Part-time or Full-time employees. Qualifications:
Some knowledge/training of the dynamics of family violence.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Valid Saskatchewan driver's license
Ability to work shift work (Days, Evenings & Nights)
Shift hours can vary from week to week.
Ability to do light housekeeping duties
Successful applicants must obtain a Criminal Record Check, a Vulnerable Sector Search, and a Driver's Abstract.
