Sask DLC requires a permanent Instructional Design Consultant for the start of the 2025-26 school year. The position will commence on August 25, 2025. The location for this position is the Kenaston Campus.
As an Instructional Design Consultant at Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre (Sask DLC), you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and enhancement of online courses. This position requires a highly organized, innovative, and collaborative individual capable of effectively managing projects and meeting deadlines. Your comprehensive knowledge of curricula and instructional design models will be crucial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality course content aligned with learning outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Academics
* Collaborate with appropriate teams to develop new courses, identify and assess online courses for review and improvement and provide recommendations for continuous improvement of course development processes and future developments.
* Provide expert instructional design guidance to course developers for online course development.
* Support the development of instructional strategies that promote learner engagement and cater to diverse learning needs while collaborating as a project team member with SMEs, developers, instructional design consultants, communications team, and technical support.
* Lead the creation of Moodle-based instructional content using source material provided by subject matter experts (SMEs).
* Other duties as assigned by the Program Development Manager and Superintendent of Student Programming.
Leadership
* Explore and integrate innovative learning strategies, trends, and training techniques for ongoing improvement.
* Manage project deadlines.
* Work collaboratively with campus administrators to ensure deadlines for development are met.
* Actively seek and engage in professional learning opportunities relevant to the role.
