Are you passionate about doing meaningful work? Do you care about water as one of our most important resources? The Water Security Agency is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Irrigation team.
Reporting to the Director of Irrigation Development an employee in this job will provide professional engineering services to a broad range of activities directly related to the engineering, procurement, and construction of water resource management and/or infrastructure for irrigation development projects.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide engineering services in the development of water resource management and or infrastructure development projects.
- Communicate technical information to stakeholders, including but not limited to producers, RMs, and the general public. This will be done through both written and verbal communication.
- Provide technical assistance to Irrigation Developments Project Managers to help move projects and initiatives forward.
- Support the design of irrigation expansion projects of moderate size and complexity.
- Assist with the preparation of procurement documents for the design cycle and construction of irrigation projects.
- Provide administrative support for irrigation development projects and initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or a similar engineering discipline, a license to practice professional engineering from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) and 4 years of related experience.
