BAR is seeking a part-time Business Development Lead to join our Consulting team.
About the Position
This position will foster relationships with current clients and to identify and secure new opportunities for our Buildings and Municipal divisions. More specifically, your duties and responsibilities will be to:
-Build trust and establish strong lasting client relationships for future opportunities.
-Identify and secure new business opportunities.
-Manage CRM system.
-Track and report on the progress of business development activities.
-Develop and execute a strategic plan for securing dependable and long-term business growth.
-Work with managers monitoring government websites and consolidating proposals for bid opportunities.
-Research and learn about the client to get a better understanding of their needs.
-Promptly reply to current and potential client inquiries.
-Represent BAR at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our services and identify opportunities.
-Follow up with clients throughout the execution of projects and conduct post-mortem evaluations upon completion.
About the Candidate
You will need a university degree or a combination of education and equivalent work experience. Industry knowledge would be an asset. A minimum of 5 years of business development or sales experience is required.
You will also have:
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
-Ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.
-Proven track record in business development, sales or client relations.
-Strong strategic thinking and problem solving abilities.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office.
-Reliable mode of transportation.
