Kitchen Manager Position - Small Take-Out Restaurant

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to join our team at a vibrant, family-owned take-out restaurant. As the Kitchen Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring food quality and consistency, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficiency and teamwork.
Oversee food prep, cooking, and plating to ensure all orders meet our high standards of quality.
Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs.
Ensure kitchen cleanliness and safety standards are followed (including sanitation and food handling).
Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring proper functioning.
Train and mentor new kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy times.
Create and adjust kitchen schedules to ensure adequate staffing and efficient operations.
Manage staff performance, providing feedback, support, and discipline when needed.
Qualifications:

Previous kitchen management experience (preferably in a fast-casual or take-out setting).
Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Passion for high-quality food.
Ability to manage inventory, track expenses, and control costs.
Experience with staff scheduling and labor management.
Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
