As the Lead of our RV and HV team, you will oversee responsibilities within the group and provide supervisor, coaching, and mentorship to the team members. This will include participating in the recruitment, performance management, and professional development of staff.
You will work together with the Accelerator Operation and Development (AOD) Manager and other Leads and departments to develop the objectives for the maintenance, operation, upgrade, and development of the accelerator complex. Applying your expertise in RF systems and/or Power converters and other types of power supplies, you will be central in proposing technical upgrades of components or systems and will provide remediation plans to address identified risk with specific systems and to ensure high availability of beam for the user program.
We have a number of upcoming projects that you, depending on your area of expertise, can apply your knowledge and experience to including:
- 700 A Dipole power supply upgrade for the storage ring.
- A new CESR-B type cavity to be installed in the Storage Ring.
- 300 kW Solid state amplifier upgrade for the superconducting cavity.
- New LINAC with SLED and high power 40 MW klystrons and solid-state modulators.
Through your work with our experienced team, we expect you will rapidly develop a thorough insight and expertise of the RF and/or HV systems and become a go to resource in leading the resolution of operational issues.
