Description

The Corporate Services Branch of the Ministry of Agriculture has an exciting opportunity for a highly-organized, self-motivated and knowledgeable individual to fill the Executive Coordinator position. The Corporate Services Branch provides strategic oversight, values-based leadership and client-centred support by proving business solutions to the entire Ministry.

This position reports to the Executive Director and will also provide support to the unit directors within the branch. You will ensure accuracy and consistency when working with word processing documents, spreadsheets and databases.

Our candidate of choice must have good organizational skills to coordinate; consolidate; compose, edit and process correspondence; and ensure responses are completed in a timely manner. Strong problem solving and decision making skills are required to resolve issues on a daily basis. As a member of the branch management team, you work in partnership with the Executive Director to ensure that the branch business is organized and all deadlines are met. You will be responsible to provide leadership and advice to other staff within the Ministry on government processes and standards.

Our candidate of choice will have knowledge of:

- office management and administrative practices and procedures, including ARMS filing and bring forward systems; and
