Description

Position Overview:
The successful applicant will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Public Works Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    Street and sidewalk maintenance
    Water and sewer system operations and maintenance
    Operation of equipment such as mowers, graders, skid steers, and tractors
    Maintenance of municipal buildings, parks, and other infrastructure
    Seasonal duties such as snow removal and grass cutting
    General repairs and upkeep around the community
Qualifications:
    Valid Class 5 Drivers License (Class 3A or higher would be an asset)
    Mechanical aptitude and experience with operating heavy equipment preferred
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Willingness to take direction and respond to emergency call-outs when required
    Previous experience in municipal public works or similar field is an asset
    Willingness to pursue necessary training and certification as required

    This is a full-time, year-round position.
