Description

Fresh Start Program Inc is expanding its current counselling services. We are seeking a motivated, confident, creative Counsellor to join the Fresh Start Counselling Team.

The successful applicant will be able to work collaboratively and respectfully with the Fresh Start team and its stakeholders.  The ability to contribute to a solution-focused team environment is essential.  The successful candidate will be adaptable in approach, well organized and proficient in time management, workload prioritization, and self directed planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Provide solution focused therapy for clients
- Provide assessment and counselling
- Proficiency in a range of clinical theories, client informed and therapy modalities
- Liaise with student advisors and other programs/resources relevant to case management as required
- Seek appropriate consultation as necessary for clinical work
- Complete thorough, detailed and timely clinical documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Social Work OR graduate degree in related discipline
- Two years of clinical experience in the counselling field is preferred.  Demonstrated knowledge and professional practice skills in frontline service including case management, counselling or clinical services, program management, and crisis service intervention is required.
- A member in good standing with professional governing body.
- A criminal record check with vulnerable sector check and a valid Saskatchewan driver's license are required.

Hours:  Full-Time (30 hours/week)  Some travel required.

Wage:  Commensurate with Education and Experience
