Description

Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise, mentor and train millwrights and millwright apprentices to ensure effective operation of the mechanical systems and ensure direction of priority assignments to repair equipment that requires attention to prevent downtime
Assigning Preventative Maintenance Work Orders
Responsible for ensuring the maintenance department is adhering to company HACCP policies and procedures to ensure product quality
Perform mechanical equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairing and preventative maintenance.
Utilize safe work practices and promote safety policies to others.
Repair or replace defective machinery parts
Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
Installation or assembly of machinery and equipment
Keep all maintenance areas clean and in order
Inventory management
Ability to read and understand manuals/blueprints and troubleshooting procedures on all equipment
Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Preference will be given if applicant has Millwright Journeyperson certification
Previous experience in supervisory role an asset
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge and ability to assemble and commission mechanical systems
Understanding of food processing manufacturing equipment an asset
Ability to install, examine, diagnose, and adjust various types of industrial and mechanical equipment.
Must be physically fit
