About the Role
CHEP Good Food Inc. is hiring a Cooking Outreach Coordinator to lead hands-on, community-based cooking programs for children, youth, families, and adults. This role focuses on teaching basic skills, building food confidence, and supporting healthy choices through inclusive, empowering food education.
Youll coordinate our Chefs in Training after-school program (ages 1015), respond to community requests for cooking workshops, and support Sprouts Camp, where youll help plan and cook meals for children during summer programming.
The ideal candidate is just as comfortable planning menus and coordinating schedules as they are leading a cooking session. If youre passionate about food, learning, and community connection this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate cooking programs for youth, families, and adults
Respond to community workshop requests and adapt programming for diverse groups
Develop recipes, session plans, and educational materials
Lead Chefs in Training each term; support Sprouts Camp food delivery
Occasionally co-lead cooking workshops and fill facilitation gaps
Maintain program records and submit reports/receipts as needed
Recruit and support facilitators and volunteers
Purchase groceries and supplies (mileage reimbursed)
Collaborate with Community Relations to share program stories
