Street Outreach Support Worker will work in the community to reach out to those that are experiencing homelessness or at risk in our community. Job duties involve good communication and listening skills, reports and data keeping, connecting with those on the streets, advocating, referrals to other agencies as needed, providing warm lunches, snacks, emergency clothing and other items as needed. Ability to work independently and as a team. Must be able to pass a CPIC check. must have valid drivers license and reliable vehicle as use of own vehicle may be required (mileage is reimbursed). Knowledge of issues faced by those facing homelessness, addictions and mental health. Must be willing to take training. Knowledge of Indigenous culture an asset. Approx. 24 hours per week and may involve evening or weekend work Additional hours may be added as needed.
