Help Strengthen Accountability at the City of Regina!
Are you a detail-oriented audit professional looking to make a meaningful impact? The City of Regina is hiring an Internal Audit Specialist to support our Internal Audit Plan and help ensure transparency, accountability, and operational excellence across the organization.

In this role, you will:
Support the implementation of the Council-approved Internal Audit Plan

Plan, execute, and report on complex internal audit assignments

Conduct risk assessments and develop detailed testing and audit plans

Prepare observations and recommendations in line with internal audit standards

Collaborate with departments to create value-added action plans

Maintain documentation and working papers in compliance with audit procedures

Assist in investigations and special reviews in line with City policies

Support external consultants during co-sourced audits

Prepare clear and concise reports for senior leadership and Council

What were looking for:
Undergraduate degree in commerce or a related field

Professional designation such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE (or equivalent)

Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience

Strong knowledge of audit methodology, risk management, and control frameworks

Familiarity with financial systems, budgeting, and municipal/public sector operations

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
