Description

What youll do:
Reporting to the Food Store Manager, the Bakery Manager adds value to our Co-operative by providing leadership and direction to all aspects of bakery department operations within the store.
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
    Provide leadership and direction in the execution of financial results and budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits.
    Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, food safety, inventory control, purchasing, and the delivery of world-class customer service.
    Provide leadership in the area of employee relations, including hiring, training, development, performance management, discipline, and administration of co-op policies.
    Build and maintain a strong culture of employee and customer engagement within the department.
    Coordinate all tasks in a busy, multi-faceted deli operation.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:
    Retail management experience, or non-management retail experience performing at a high level (department assistant manager or higher) would be an asset.
    Sound knowledge of department financial operations.
    Ability to motivate staff to achieve strong operating results.
    Ability to fulfill physical job requirements, includes some heavy lifting.
    Must have a high level of integrity, systematic thinking, planning and conflict resolution and set priorities.
    Youre honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
    You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
