Family Service Regina, a community based, not-for-profit agency, requires an experienced counsellor to work in our General Counselling, EAP Counselling and Rapid Access Counselling programs. The successful candidates will work within a brief therapy solution-focused framework providing services to families, couples, and individuals. The ability to provide counselling services to children and youth is an asset.
The successful candidate will be adaptable in approach, well-organized, and proficient in time-management, workload prioritization, and self-directed work planning. A criminal record check and a valid Saskatchewan drivers license are required. Flexibility is required, including at least one evening per week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
Provide assessment and counselling to children, families, couples and individuals
Proficiency in a range of clinical theories, especially solution focused, client informed, and brief therapy modalities
Make referrals to other resources where appropriate and liaise with other programs or resources around case management where necessary
Seek appropriate consultation as necessary for clinical work and complete detailed and timely clinical documentation
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of two years experience with demonstrated knowledge and professional practice skills in frontline services including case management, counselling or clinical services, program management, and/or brief service/crisis intervention
Familiarity with a wide variety of evidenced based therapeutic modalities
