The Health Centre Receptionist serves as the first point of contact with office visitors and provides assistance to individuals by responding to routine questions; providing general information; answering the main telephone line; making reservations; managing electronic calendars; and performing general clerical duties such as data entry, typing and faxing. The Receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff, mail distribution and providing additional clerical support within Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation. The incumbent will multi-task and deliver a variety of front office activities and services to band office operations, Muscowpetung membership and the general public.
The COHI Aide enrolls families in the COHI program, updates medical histories, completes paperwork, conducts home and community visits, and applies fluoride varnish. They promote oral health education, implement prevention strategies, and handle administrative duties.
The program aims to prevent tooth decay and infections in children, minimizing dental emergencies and the need for sedation treatments.
Medical Transportation ensures transportation initiatives for clients
and are maintained by instructing drivers and addressing any special needs. They also assist community members with non-insured health benefit applications and required documentation. Medical Transportation handle's administrative duties for long-distance and emergency transportation services per Health Canada's guidelines, implement the medical transportation policy, submit documentation and verified statements to the Administration department bi-weekly, maintain an organized filing system and up-to-date records, and complete financial expenditure reports.
