Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director, the Assistant Director will support the Executive Director in leading the organizations operations, strategic initiatives, partnership development and day-to-day management of all operations of Circle Project. This role serves as a key leader in implementing policies, managing staff and programs, and representing the organization to stakeholders and the public. The successful candidate will display a high level of flexibility and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic community-based environment which includes community engagement activities and special events with a focus on community partnerships.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Non-profit Management, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
3-5 years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in a non-profit or mission-driven organization.
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Experience with budgeting, financial oversight, and strategic planning.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work with the Indigenous community and thorough knowledge of urban Indigenous culture and issues. Must be capable of working with diversity in the workplace. Preference for Indigenous applicants.
Must hold a valid Drivers License and have reliable vehicle.
