The Food Bank Manager oversees day-to-day operations, volunteer coordination, and program support at the ESF/BDFRC. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager ensures smooth delivery of food programs, maintains a clean and safe facility, and fosters a welcoming environment for clients and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage Food Bank programs and seasonal initiatives (e.g., Christmas Hampers, Food for Kids, Coats for Kids).
Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and fine option workers.
Maintain building and vehicle cleanliness, repairs, and safety.
Coordinate hamper preparation and distribution with a focus on dignity, accuracy, and food safety.
Collect and submit program statistics and data.
Support warehouse operations, including food sorting, safety checks, and inventory rotation.
Assist with fundraising, special events, and community service programs.
Qualifications:
Friendly, organized, and proactive
Strong communication and computer skills
Valid drivers license and Safe Food Handling Certificate
