The Finance and Corporate Services Division in the ministry is seeking an individual with superior problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills for the unique position of Director of Business Transformation. This position could potentially work from any location in Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance, the Director of Business Transformation is responsible for defining and leading a strategic vision for the Ministry of Social Services financial and reporting systems. The Director leads financial system innovation by developing and implementing strategies and policies to support the ministrys service-delivery priorities.

The Director provides expert advice to senior leadership, ministry working groups and vendors regarding public sector accounting principles, financial controls, and business risk management. They lead a team of professionals through project development, testing, and implementation to ensure all financial systems and processes meet the requirements of The Financial Administration Act and Government of Saskatchewan financial policies.

Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be obtained through a professional accounting designation and supplemented with public sector financial management experience. However, a combination of experience and education will be considered.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise in financial systems and processes and be a recognized team leader.
