This position is offered through the support of the Government of Canada-Canada Summer Jobs Program. All applicants must meet the minimum requirements of that program (see below).
The Office Assistant Summer/Co-op Student provides key administrative support to management and the accounting team, ensuring smooth operations. The Office Assistant manages reception, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel. Additionally, they organize, and archive files. This position offers a great opportunity to develop administrative skills in a collaborative, professional environment.
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
* must be between 16 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment;
* was registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year;
* intends to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year;
* is a student in post-secondary, vocational, or technical program;
* is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act* and;
* is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Services
* Manage reception, and assist visitors.
* Process incoming and outgoing mail.
* Maintain and organize files, including archiving.
* File incoming purchase orders and match to vendor invoices.
* Ensure the reception and boardroom areas are tidy and presentable.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
* Assist with budget projections or reconciliations.
