Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Grocery Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring the store runs smoothly, meets sales goals, and maintains a high standard of customer satisfaction. They are accountable to the Board of Directors for the store's performance and must report on sales, profit margins, and customer satisfaction. The Manager will be expected to attend Board Meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
    Operational Management: Oversee all store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
    Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and manage store staff, creating a positive and productive work environment.
    Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times, addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
    Financial Management: Monitor and manage the store's budget, day to day operations, including sales targets, expenses, and profitability.
    Compliance: Ensure the store complies with all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
    Community Engagement: Attend Board Meetings, Foster strong relationships with the local community, participating in community events and initiatives.
Qualifications:
    Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a grocery store setting.
    Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma in business management or a related field is a plus.
    Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and basic financial reporting.
    Personal Attributes: Customer-focused, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. A strong sense of community and commitment to customer satisfaction.
