Girl Guides of Canada is actively seeking a Property Caretaker (Permanent  Part time) Location: Heritage Lake Girl Guide Camp, 32084 Highway 913, RM of Paddockwood No. 520, Saskatchewan

About This Opportunity
Reporting to the Legal Specialist (or assigned designate i.e. Property Chair or committee member, in this role, you will be a part of Heritage Lake Girl Guide Camp. As Property Caretaker, your overall goal is to ensure that the properties are in safe working order for the use of members and/or third-party renters.

In this role you will:
    Work collaboratively with volunteers to ensure that the property you support is maintained in good working order, minimizing risk for users and promoting a safe environment
    Perform regular inspections and make basic repairs when possible.
    Coordinate and manage third-party contractors to perform tasks that require specialized knowledge and/or experience.
    Perform annual tasks associated with opening and closing of the property when applicable.
    Set out swimming area buoys at the start of the summer camp season and removing upon closing camp for the winter season
    Using the on-site tools (wood splitter/axe), split kindling and wood for use in firepit and wood stove
    Be available on-call on weekends or when camp in use during the week for summer camps to respond to emergencies as reported by camp users (or notify Property Chair minimum two weeks in advance when not available).
    Ensure camp building is accessible prior to each camp e.g. walkways shoveled and sanded (winter maintenance)
    Perform check-in inspection procedures with camp users
    Complete a full property check out inspection after each camp, confirming key key returned to lock box, forward copy of the rental groups check-out list, and submit a report of any deficiencies to the Property Chair immediately after the inspection.
    Submit a drinking water sample test twice a year to Saskatchewan Health Authority Office (located in Prince Albert, SK)
