Yorkton KidsFirst is seeking a compassionate, independent and creative Home Visitor who has an interest and a passion in making a difference in the lives of Yorkton families and children. This position provides the opportunity to create positive changes for families by providing research-based information; creating connections with community supports; and supporting family directed goal development.

Expectations:
Establish and maintain a trusting relationship with families by providing continuous support through home visiting
Meet families in the family home
Use a strength-based approach while working with culturally diverse families
Assist families in developing their own goals, objectives and activities that best meets their needs
Assist families in the referral process to other programs or community supports
Work independently and as part of a team
Maintain accurate records of home visits and electronic data collection
Remain accountable to SIGN and support the program principles
Be flexible with scheduling; may include occasional evenings and weekends
Adopt a safe work approach
Take direction and feedback from management and contribute to a healthy team environment
Qualifications and experience:
Grade 12 education or equivalent or certification and training appropriate to the position
Experience working with children and families would be an asset
Valid drivers license and access to a personal motor vehicle is required
A recent (6 months or less), clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
