Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers upon arrival and provide friendly and knowledgeable service throughout their shopping experience.
Assist customers in locating products and making recommendations based on their preferences.
Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash and credit card payments.
Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including stocking shelves and ensuring products are properly displayed.
Check identification to verify customers are of legal drinking age before completing sales.
Receive and unload merchandise deliveries, ensuring accuracy in quantities received and reporting any discrepancies promptly.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding the sale of alcohol and store operations.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in conducting regular stock counts to ensure adequate product availability.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
Qualifications:
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
Knowledge of liquor products and industry regulations is an asset.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
Standing and walking for extended periods.
