Description

The incumbent will possess a minimum two years field experience in a NCSO or Safety role. Experience in a safety role regarding heavy equipment operation, highway and road building work is also an asset. A valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract is required.

General Skills Requirements:

The incumbent will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, solid organization and time management abilities, superior interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
    Conduct all new hire and safety orientations for the designated site
    Ensure training is completed and employees have equipment and resources to fulfill job requirements
    Maintain all site safety records
    Enforcement of company policies and procedures
    Investigate incidents and complete incident reports
    Assist with Safety program auditing
    Perform site audits
    Ability to travel and stay at field work locations
    All other duties as assigned by the supervisor
