Alsport Sales Ltd, a premier powersport dealership in Regina, is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant / Assistant Controller to join our Accounting team to assist the Controller. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring the timely processing of transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the dealership. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple financial tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Process, verify, and reconcile invoices from vendors and suppliers.
Prepare and issue payments to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment schedules.
Track outstanding receivables, follow up on overdue accounts, and issue payment reminders.
Reconcile customer payments with sales transactions and dealership records.
Bank Reconciliation & Financial Transactions:
Perform daily cash outs and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
Ongoing schedule reconciliation including: Warranties, Floor Plans, Inventories, and Vehicle Receivables.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions, ensuring alignment with accounting records.
Financial Reporting & Record Keeping:
Preparation of financial reports, statements, and summaries for management.
Maintain organized records of sales, expenses, and dealership financial transactions.
Support the Controller in generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Inventory & Dealership Accounting Support:
Monitor financial transactions related to vehicle inventory, including purchases, sales, and financing.
Reconcile inventory purchase invoices with supplier statements and internal records.
Administrative & Compliance Support:
Must be able to do documentation for audits and tax filings.
Preparing & processing government remittances and reporting;
