Description

The YMCA of Regina is an Imagine Canada accredited non-profit charity that is open to all, dedicated to building strong kids, strong families & strong communities. As the premiere values-based builder of health, leadership & personal development in the city of Regina, we focus our program delivery on our three pillars of service: health & fitness, community development, & childcare.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the General Manager of Health, Fitness & Aquatics (HFA) will be responsible for adult, child/youth, & aquatics programming & for the ongoing development & delivery of all HFA programs.
Core Responsibilities:
1.Achieve & maintain quality of all Wellness, Group Fitness, & Aquatics programs delivered by the Association.
2.Ensure the successful operation of the health, fitness, aquatic, & recreation elements of the Northwest/Rochdale centre.
3.Develop & implement plans to serve & engage the community related to the needs of the YMCA of Regina.
4.Maintains current knowledge of health, fitness & recreation through research & new developments in the fields of health & fitness & membership retention strategies.
5.Investigates & develops partnerships within the community to provide quality programs
6.Ensures clarity of policies & procedures with respect to admissions, attendance & program participation
7.Develops, monitors & adjusts annual departmental operating budgets
8.Responds to member questions or concerns
Qualifications required:
1.Well developed interpersonal skills & ability to establish rapport with our diverse membership, staff, volunteers, community stakeholders & partners
2.University or College Graduate from a related discipline; Bus Admin, Public Admin, Recreation, Physical Education, Kinesiology
3.2-3 years previous General Manager experience with 10 years experience in developing/ delivering recreation/fitness programming
4.First Aid/CPR Certification
5.Current Criminal Record Check
