Tasks and Responsibilities
Maintain in-depth knowledge of companys strategic business plans with knowledge around Data and Cloud Architecture.
Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to all internal customers including but not limited to Project Management office, Business Solutions Team, and Security.
Document and develop in-depth knowledge of SCICs Information and Technology portfolio.
Develop and maintain a roadmap with a focus on cloud as a service model.
Analyze corporations existing architecture and develop strategies for future developments to meet the corporations changing needs.
Conduct research on emerging technology related services and platforms in support of infrastructure development efforts. Provide recommendations that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
Collaborate with end users and management to define business requirements of how technology would support SCICs internal systems and processes.
Review and assess new and existing IT projects. Develop architectural artifacts such as conceptual and logical models, flowcharts, high level blueprints to support the project work.
Ensure alignment of IT planning and strategy with corporate business goals.
Develop, document, communicate and enforce technology standards policies.
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, adaptable and in consideration with changing technology landscape. Ensure backup procedures are in place.
Qualifications:
The knowledge and skills required for this position are acquired through the completion of a university degree in Computer Science, supplemented with three years of relevant IT Architect experience, OR a diploma in Computer Science, supplemented with four years of relevant IT Architect experience.
