Description

Duties include:
-    Responsible for conducting all client intake through interviewing and assessing client skill level and reviewing the vocational evaluation, as applicable, to determine appropriate service delivery.
-    Work with clients to develop and activate an individualized employment-based action plan, using a person-centered approach, and strength-based approaches and tools.
-    Work collaboratively with others (employment staff, clients, family members, case managers, residential providers, advocates, mentors, educators), to facilitate client progress along their action plan.
-    Organize referrals to internal or external services that enhance employment capacity.
-    Participate in community activities, meetings, and networking opportunities.
-    Complete administrative duties including client file maintenance, development of person-centered plans, performance indicators, tracking of outcome achievement and other documentation as required.

Qualifications:
-    Relevant post-secondary education in Human Services and two years related experience.  
-    Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, Job Coaching training/experience is an asset.
-    Understanding of people with disabilities, the employment barriers they face, and specific strategies and supports that will enhance success.
-    Knowledge of employer expectations in a variety of settings, Labour Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health, and Safety Standards, and work safe practices.
-    Proven ability to work as part of a team to achieve goals.
-    Demonstrated observation and problem-solving skills.
Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.
