Job Summary:
Identify and resolve problems that develop during treatment or return-to-work programs.
Qualifications:
A post-secondary degree in a health services field, and a minimum of one (1) years experience of having worked in a health care system (preferably Saskatchewan) as a licensed registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, chiropractor or physician. Current license with the appropriate regulated profession preferred but not essential.
Over one (1) year successful experience demonstrating the ability to do the following:
Clinical knowledge as it applies to Functional Rehabilitation and Return to Work Programs.
Demonstrated case management skills, including problem identification and problem solving, and good medical interpretation skills.
Oral and written communication.
Mediation skills.
Conducting interviews.
Critical analysis skills.
Resolving conflicts on the basis of legislation, policy and department processes.
Organizing work schedules, prioritizing multiple work tasks and completing work within established time frames.
User knowledge of computer business applications such as Microsoft Office (Work, Excel and Outlook).
Willingness and ability to travel within the province and to work independently away from the office.
This position is a field position. As such, it is necessary for an individual to have a valid class 5 drivers license to occupy the position.
