The SPSA is seeking a Director, Human Resources to provide strategic and functional human resource consulting to Agency leadership to support the achievement of their business goals and strategies. Examples of duties include:
Establishes and maintains positive relationships with Agency leadership, union leadership, and the Public Service Commission (PSC) to ensure HR service needs are addressed, proactively identified, and collaboratively resolved, and to ensure workplace issues are effectively supported;
Leads the development and capacity building of a team of Human Resource Business Partners (HRBPs), providing day-to-day oversight, issue escalation, coaching, performance management, workload balancing, and client portfolio management;
Maintains an effective level of client business acumen and actively participates at the table with SPSA leadership to build a strong understanding of Agency strategies, priorities, and operations;
In alignment with SPSAs strategic planning, leads and supports client leadership in strategic workforce planning and the development of targeted strategies to address workforce opportunities and challenges;
Ensures alignment of client HR initiatives with other corporate initiatives and the overall business objectives of the SPSA;
Collaborates closely with the Senior Labour Relations Consultant to ensure a consistent and integrated approach to labour relations, including support for grievance handling.
